Do I need a card to use the free tier?

No. The free tier is forever: no card, no time limit, no auto-conversion. You can read 3 books, save 50 words, and use the daily translation/review limits indefinitely without ever entering payment info.

Does the 14-day Pro trial require a card?

Yes. Starting the Pro trial requires a payment card upfront. The card isn't charged during the trial. On day 15, €9.99 (or €99.99 for annual) is charged automatically unless you cancel beforehand. We'll email you 3 days before the charge as a reminder.

What happens if I don't cancel by day 15?

Your card is charged €9.99/month (or €99.99/year, whichever you chose) and you stay on Pro. You can still cancel any time after that from your account. You keep Pro access until the end of the billing period you paid for, then drop to the free tier.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. One click from your account opens the Lemon Squeezy customer portal where you can cancel, during trial or after. Cancel during the trial = no charge. Cancel after = you keep Pro until the current billing period ends.

What happens to my data if I downgrade?

Everything stays. Your saved vocabulary, uploaded books, and bookmarks remain. You just can't add new ones beyond the free limit until you upgrade again.
